Before & after
From Pass-Through to Open Concept
Before, the kitchen sat behind a wall with a small pass-through counter. Opening that wall created a bright, open kitchen with an island the whole family can gather around, finished with pendants and a black chandelier.

The brief
Open the Kitchen, Refresh the Bath
The kitchen felt closed off from the rest of the main floor. Removing the wall connected it to the living space and made room for a new island.
In the same project we renovated the bathroom with a navy shaker vanity, a white counter and new lighting. One team handled both rooms, with a dedicated project manager keeping the work organized.
What the renovation included
- Wall opened between the kitchen and living space
- New island with white cabinetry
- Pendant lights and a black chandelier
- Bathroom with a navy shaker vanity and new lighting

Thinking About Opening Up Your Kitchen?
Opening a wall can change how your whole main floor works. We'll look at what's in the wall, plan the layout with you and give you a clear quote before any work starts.
From the homeowner
"J Group did a bathroom reno for us. Their team was courteous and efficient. They were on time and on budget. Their work was above exceptional. AJ took the time to explain the process, and gave us a detailed list of items that were to be complete. We were extremely happy with the finished product. I would definitely use them again."Maria M.Etobicoke · Google review
