Our story
From Backyard Fences to Full Homes and Commercial Build-Outs
J Group started in 2015 as a family business with one goal: neighbourly, reliable service and high-quality craftsmanship on every project, whatever its size.
Some of our earliest Google reviews are for backyard fences. Today the same family-run company handles kitchens, bathrooms, basements, whole-home renovations, custom homes and commercial build-outs across Toronto and the GTA. Many of our clients come back for their next project.
What hasn't changed is how we work. You deal with people who know your project, you get straight answers about budget and timing, and we don't call a job done until you do.

Every job gets its own project manager who runs the schedule and coordinates every trade, so you always know who to call and get a real answer.

We'll tell you at the first visit what your budget can realistically do, how long it will take and what permits you'll need.
A clear quote, in writing
Scope, price and schedule are written down before any work starts. If something changes, we talk about it before it's done.
Licensed trades & permits
Electrical, plumbing and gas work is done by licensed trades. We pull the permits your project needs and book the inspections.
Respect for your space
Protected floors, dust control and daily clean-up, whether it's your family home or your place of business.
We stand behind our work
Every project is backed by our written 2-year workmanship warranty, and we answer the phone after the job is finished.

How long has J Group Renovations been in business?
Since 2015. We're a family-owned company based in Richmond Hill, working across Toronto and the GTA on residential and commercial projects.
Who will I deal with during my project?
Every job has a dedicated project manager. They are your single point of contact from the first visit to the final walkthrough: they run the schedule, coordinate every trade and keep you updated.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. We are licensed, carry $5 million in liability insurance and are WSIB-registered. Certificates are available on request, and every project is backed by our written 2-year workmanship warranty.
Do you use licensed trades?
Yes. Electrical, plumbing and gas work is done by licensed trades and inspected when the permit requires it. We coordinate every trade so you don't have to.
Do you take on commercial projects as well as homes?
